I had a cyst on my back for over 8 years. I had shown this to doctors numerous times and each time the answer that came was - "It is nothing just a lipoma. You can get it removed if it bothers you but if it doesn't, I wouldn't recommend removing it." Things went on fine until a month ago when the size of "lipoma" started growing rapidly and it started hurting a lot.
I showed this to a physician who inspected it and claimed it was a lipoma but he referred me to a surgeon to remove it. I wasn't worried about it as the pain started subsiding. The surgeon of the hospital said that it will not be until 1-2 months that they will be able to do the surgery as the hospital was in the process of moving. I thought there is no hurry, I will wait.
My wife however was getting worried and started nagging me about getting it removed a different hospital. I tried to postpond it but one day she just gave me the ultimatum that either I get it removed some other place or she will leave the home.
I called the Evergreen hospital in Kirkland and got the appointment with the surgeon who looked at the "lipoma" and scheduled the surgery after few days.
We were relieved...
